The challenge

False starts

More than 5 years ago, the vision for
OfficeAutomated came to Dr. Robert Barton, who
craved a simpler interface to run his own medical
practice. He hired a small team of outsourcers to
build it, bootstrapping the entire operation. More
than $75,000 and almost two years later, he still
did not have working software.

When Dr. Barton connected with Protovate, we were inspired by his vision and wanted to prevent him from spending any additional time or financial resources on an unusable product.

We first performed a code audit to assess the state of his software and realized it was not salvageable. We recommended that our skilled team of engineers augment and replace his previous IT staff to build his product from scratch and quickly get it up and running so he could finally use it for himself.
